Eighteen years at the workbench.
From a single Lower Parel workshop to a full furniture house — the joinery standard never moved.
It started with one client who hated flat-pack.
In 2007, a cabinet-maker and an interior designer opened a two-room workshop in Lower Parel after one too many clients asked them to fix furniture that had warped within a year of buying it. Their first commission was a single dining table, built from reclaimed teak, that's still in daily use today.
That table set the standard every piece since has followed: solid material, joinery you could see if you looked, and finishes meant to be re-oiled and loved for decades — not replaced.
Today, Grain runs a full showroom and workshop, but the joiners who built that first table are still on the floor, training the next ones.
Our Mission
To build furniture from honest material and real joinery, priced fairly, so that buying something built to last isn't reserved for a tiny budget bracket.
Our Vision
To be the furniture house Mumbai households turn to when they want one piece that will outlast three apartments — not a name they forget after the warranty expires.
The hands behind the joinery.
